The beast mode thing gets old fast, but as a parent of small children who love Monsters Inc, I also find the beast mode thing a little endearing. They are real people who have kids and incorporated something fun they do with their kids into their work. Good for them.IMADreamer wrote:I'm sorry this touchy feely stuff doesn't do it for me. It's nice to play nice but the fact is everytime I see one of your douchebags do that damn monsters inc thing I want to punch a kitten. I hate your team and I hate you.
My compliments to the Cards..

I don't have the foggiest idea what this beast thing/Monsters Inc thing is.Gashouse wrote:The beast mode thing gets old fast, but as a parent of small children who love Monsters Inc, I also find the beast mode thing a little endearing. It's ok, JL21. I completely agree. I think your assessment is pretty accurate. The Cardinals have won it all several times. Milwaukee hasn't won a World Series since the Braves were still here.JL21 wrote:I think Brewer fans have a little brother complex when it comes to the Cardinals. I don't mean that to be condescending or anything to Brewer fans. Think about it, though. They've been the punchline for the bulk of the existence of the NL Central. The Cardinals have been the kings of the division. When one team in the division consistently hands an ass kicking to the divisional weakling for more than a decade, those fans are going to take extra pleasure in beating that bully when they finally get the chance. And they have had that chance, intermittently, since 2008 or so.
The Brewers have been the doormats of baseball for quite a while. We're better now, but still not where we need to be to win a World Series, imo. Too many guys that just aren't clutch, and a defense that's not dependable.

Since I'm married to a Cheesehead, I can vouch for this. She claims to be a Brewers fan too, but we have 8,437 Packers shirts to only 2 Brewers shirts so the numbers speak for themselves.JL21 wrote:The other thing to keep in mind is that Brewer fans are almost universally football fans first, baseball fans second or third or fourth depending on how they feel about hockey or curling.
As such, they have football fan mentalities.
