Let me see this list. Obviously Sir MixaLot is at 1, but I don't know how you don't get Pearl Jam in the top 5.thrill wrote:Pearl Jam might not even be in the top 5 Seattle bands of all time.

If you put Death Cab ahead of Pearl Jam I'm going to ask to see a page of your super secret feelings journal.

I had no idea Quincy Jones was from Seattle. I'm surprised that hasn't come up in any of my stupid soccer arguments (which I always lose because Bruce Lee and Nirvana). Or that he's 82, damn.
I thought for sure I'd see Soundgarden on the list. Maybe Alice in Chains (Alice in Chains is to me as Pearl Jam is to you).

I think Soundgarden is better.
The Foo Fighters. I'll take their handful of hits over anything Pearl Jam has.
Minus the Bear is a personal favorite, but probably not well known enough for the discussion.

Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Alice In Chains
I don't really like any grunge. Spoon Man is the best song by a grunge band but overall, Pearl Jam and Nirvana are better bands.

Without even hearing it, I'm all in favor of it replacing Go Cubs Go as the team song.Transmogrified Tiger wrote:Yeah, a number of years ago he wrote a little acoustic song about being a Cubs fan. There's video of him playing it for the team and singing along after Tuesday's game.ghostrunner wrote:Is Vedder not a real Cubs fan? It appears he's from Evanston.
As silly as the 'celebrity shows up to celebrate team's success' thing is in general, if there's someone to have a side eye about whether they're a 'real' fan or not from this Cubs run, it's probably John Cusack.

Go Cubs Go is the goofy anthem all of those goofy white people on the north side deserve.
