jim next time you get to St. Louis for a game, check out a place called "The White Knight." Also a greasy spoon diner like Eat Rite. Good greasy burgers & fries. Kind of off the beaten path from the stadium. It's located at 18th & Olive.jim wrote:Eat Rite is the best, although I don't know if that qualifies.

I have plenty of love for Steak n Shake, but it isn't fast food. You can spend a half an hour in that drive thru.

I'll meet you there. It's a few blocks from my house and the Tap Room.Molly wrote:jim next time you get to St. Louis for a game, check out a place called "The White Knight." Re: McDonald's
Is this becoming a catch-all fast food thread now?
The Nashville Hot Chicken from KFC is surprisingly good. Definitely very good for a fast food place.

That's only if the line isn't long. I about lost my [expletive] there 6 weeks ago. I went to the one at Watson and Elm around 6:30 on a Wednesday night. Didn't think there would be hardly anyone in line. WRONG. I counted 9 cars and more were pulling up.haltz wrote:I have plenty of love for Steak n Shake, but it isn't fast food. More fast food/fast casual places I enjoy....Culver's, this Chinese place (not Panda Express) in Ladue and Kim Cheese on Olive Blvd.

Re: McDonald's
I was at the SnS at Olive and 141 in HS and it basically turned into a nightmare of drunk kids with no place to hang out at 1am. The two cooks walked out and the lone server was nowhere to be found after that. We left as a couple of other customers started cooking their own food.

Anyway, that sounds like a disaster.

Re: McDonald's
Culver's is the best.
Bacon deluxe.
In-n-out is pretty great too, if you live on the the left coast.
The way McD's keeps the dollar menu going, is now all the Combo meals are more then $5.00. I cost's me over $20 to feed my family at the Arches. I can still get enough food for the whole family at Wendy's, for about $14.00.
