The Chicago Pride parade route got shortened this year. I used to be able to go right outside my back door and watch it from there. Great to be right next to your own bathroom!

Alas, now I'll have to walk like 3 blocks south to where the route is starting now.

The struggle is real.

The parades are becoming corporate bores anyway...the afterparties are where it's at.

Yeah, the parade is half politicians and corporations. I think I've seen every Illinois governor and senator (including Obama) in the parade, and of course the various mayors since my tenure living here. JB Pritzker is a heavy gentleman, but he's always there sweating it out in the hot sun.

Our current Secretary of State turned some heads last year when it rained during the parade.

Can’t be overstated how important a private bathroom at a parade is. Will not go to a parade, especially in New Orleans, unless I have access to one.

The actor that voiced John Redcorn in King of the Hill was recently murdered in what appears to be a hate crime. This just exemplifies why we NEED a pride month.
