I really wish I could relive that whole playoff experience just one more time.
Starting with the last day of the regular season.

Anytime I need a pick-me-up in the midst of another dreary corporate day, this thread delivers.

Me to but it will never happen. Not like that. That was a 1x in a life deal. I was in St. Louis for the parade and that weekend before, and the buzz around the city was unbelievable.go birds wrote:I really wish I could relive that whole playoff experience just one more time.

I would like to relive that experience starting from when we were 10.5 games out, please. I would like to relive having a three-game series with the team we are chasing, thinking "you know, if we sweep this we'd cut it to 4.5 out", and then proceeding to sweep, and thinking "hmmmm.....". I'd like to relive clicking "refresh" on my phone while out at a fancy restaurant and finding out that Omar Infante hit a walkoff homer to win a game that allowed the Cards to pick up a game in the standings. Omar Infante?

I'd like to relive it knowing how it all ends. By the end of the NLCS I was absolutely exhausted - it was awesome seeing them win, but it always seemed so close to being over. I was just as relieved as I was excited when they won it all.go birds wrote:I really wish I could relive that whole playoff experience just one more time.

We're visiting my in-laws. Without getting too specific, the country they live in is one that has absolutely no baseball tradition, but my father-in-law likes to follow sports and is a big boxing fan.
Guess what DVD I brought to explain America's best game?

They probably won't do it, but I would love for FSMW to show Game 6 and 7 over and over again every Christmas. I would watch every year.
