The guy who sits next to me at work IM'd me a link to Amazon where the game is on sale for $15 and said I should play it on my train trip this weekend so I bought it. I didn't buy it from Amazon because I had a $20 to spend at Best Buy so I got the digital download for free from there. Of course I don't have the Switch with me to download so I'll have to do that as soon as I get home tonight.

Rocket League is one of the best games ever.
I forgot to download the game before leaving for Boston and the wifi at the hotel wouldn't play nice with the Switch so I'll just have to wait until I get home to experience it i guess. I have the Switch tethered to my phone but I used up my high speed tethering for the month and it is going to take forever.

3 out of 4 (imo) solid free games in april for xbox gold members
https://www.polygon.com/2018/3/28/17172 ... april-2018

i probably wouldn't buy an AC game anymore since they're basically the same (i know origins changed some mechanics) but i do enjoy them and will gladly take a free copy, even if it's a lesser entry in the series.

very stoked for dead space 2. they gave out dead space a year or so ago so i assumed they'd get to the rest of these and glad we finally get the next entry.

heard good things about witness so am also looking forward to that one.

cars is a lemon.

That's an awesome month. I'm really excited about The Witness. I've been close to buying it several times.

Joc, origins is a really good series reboot.

Okay, dudes, what's my change-of-pace, jaw-dropper game. I just now ordered GOW4 and The Master Chief Collection, so I'm looking for something a little different. A shooter is okay, but I'd like to melt into some world and log a ton of hours exploring. If a good deal doesn't pop up on a console this weekend, I'm just buying a One S at Best Buy Monday or Tuesday.

Edit- I'm aware of Fallout 4. I logged an insane amount of hours on Fallout 3.

Not yet. I haven't touched gaming in 6 years. I keep seeing that on some "best of" lists. I'll put it on the short list.

definitely fallout 4. the batman games are really good, with the last, arkham knight, being huge. cuphead is a great throwback to old school 2d platformers and it's hard! but fun and awesome. you might consider Rare Replay which has a ton of old Rare titles. Borderlands 2 can give you lots of hours and its really well done. the company Telltale does a good job on episodic, story driven games. Fortnite is a free battle royale game that's a lot of fun. Michael does PUBG but fortnite is a more arcadey version of it (and did i mention free?).

you might also check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_b ... r_Xbox_One to see if any of your old games are backwards compatible (if you still have the physical disc; any digital purchases will show up in your library if you use the same gamertag/log in credentials/account that had the purchase, etc)

i'll try and think of some more

I'd definitely try it. I was surprised at how much it sucked me in. I'm largely a racer when it comes to gaming but the Witchers story and world made me not want to put it down. I recently started a second play through with it.
