He will do fine I'm sure.Leroy wrote:I could be wrong, but my guess is Albert has a great year as usual. People always talk about the after contract let down, but I don't think he's wired that way. If he was, he would have had his best year this year.

I agree. the original source was nightengale.ilstu24 wrote:Don't buy it. I think that was released by his agent to show that it wasn't about the money.
Not if you had someone whispering "I'll do you for 10 years at $220 million" in your ear. You'd be a fool not to listen.MDCardsFan wrote:Michael wrote:I just told my boss if I'm offered 10 years at a quarter of a billion dollars I'm ready to bail.
On the other hand, if he offered you 9 years at $198 million right now, take it or leave it, I'm pretty sure that I know what you would do!
Well, technically correct... but if you believe the 10/220 Cards offer than no, he left for a 12% increase over his current employer's offered raise. To a market that will be at least an 18% increase in expenses. He took less money in terms of value.ghostrunner wrote:Another way to look at at, aside from the millions of dollars - Pujols gets a 50% raise. I bet the majority here would take that deal.
No... it was just the biggest factor, so he was deceptive...Pujols wrote:Money isn't the only factor
