Does anyone know if Facebook reporting is actually effective? Reported someone a couple minutes ago for an anti-Muslim meme, and I'm wondering if it will even do any good.

I report all ads I see on facebook as spam. Hasn't seemed to help. I'm not going to click any of these ads.

Also have been removing every video I see, especially ones with text above and below, trying to get this scurge off my newsfeed. Sometimes it seems to help get rid of them all, sometimes it doesn't. But it is uncovering at least a few posts by friends, which before was just completely covered in stupid video clips. I don't mind if the clips are good, but most of the time they're just watchbait.

Kird, what I've done is add any friend whose posts I want to see to lists (Close, Acquaintances, Posts Too Much, etc...). And then unfollow every single one of them. Their posts (almost all of them) will still show in your lists and disappear from your news feed. My news feed is now exclusively pages I follow, and I no longer have to scroll to find posts from friends.

Saw one on the 4th

"As we celebrate our freedom - this is happening now in North Korea [testimonial -example massive human oppression]"

Also, North Korea as the bar for which we compare our freedom to......

FB is good for something - it helped me remember that I forgot my wedding anniversary before my wife remembered that she forgot.

This weeks Murica circle jerk was intolerable. I thought I had gotten rid of all those people on facebook but they came roaring back. I probably unfollowed another dozen people this week.
