I've been getting excited about Biden, which means that it'll be Bayh or Kaine.
Biden is the kind of badass that Republicans only wish they could be.

Can he survive the scrutiny? At a quick glance, it doesn't seem too bad.

I think Biden would be a wonderful VP. Yeah, his gaffes are there and he does have a tendency to run long on wind. But God, when he lets loose, he truly makes you stop and pay attention and pay attention all the way through. Listen to him during the debates. In various interviews. John McCain doesn't know what the Hell straight talk means. Biden is more straight forward than anyone I've seen speculated for VP or even President. He's the attack dog Obama needs. Badly.

Barack reads his own blog? How elitist.

It's funny. I hadn't thought of it, but Biden is a good choice. Though, if people think McCain has a temper....
McCain is not impressing me these last couple days. He's always been pretty good off the cuff, so even opening himself up to the possibility that the questions might have been known is lame, and he gave the impression he couldn't have heard them.
Have to question Warren on this too, though. It was his idea supposedly that the other candidate not hear the questions, so he should've made sure that's how it went.
I still like the format of it, and it's to Obama's credit that he did better than McCain anyway.

Rumor has it that McCain will announce his running mate the day after Obama's acceptance speech.

Biden frontrunner for VP.
http://www.newsvine.com/_news/2008/08/1 ... r-for-veepALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Within the last few hours I've spoken with two of the finalists for the role of Barack Obama's running-mate, and to two other sources who are close to the process.
My bottom line is this: Barring a big surprise or last-minute change of heart, the choice is likely to be Sen. Joe Biden of Deleware, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
