I don't know whether watching Creed rock out on DDR or Kevin pretending to be a baby in front of Pam was better.

[SHOW]
Well, it looks like Hank finds out next episode. It could be interesting to see how he responds to being outed as a drug dealer, though I'd prefer if this had happened a little later.

I really like the stuff that happens at the agency, it's all pretty interesting, but the stuff at home is pretty lame. I've watched seven episodes, I'll give it a few more, but I wish someone would have told me it's a show for chicks. It can also be pretty heavy-handed at times.
They really trimmed the fat for the second season. It's much better. I know times were different, but I still have trouble embracing Don Draper as my hero, but hopefully his progression on this show can be becoming a decent husband and father.

Pretty weird when all of a sudden The Decemberists burst out in one episode though. Aside from the end credits there isn't much soundtrack to speak of, and all of the other songs have been from the period.

Justified is proving okay in that Timothy Olyphant is one of the most charismatic actors around and the writing is okay, but they moved completely off of the interesting premise of their first show. I was hoping for another The Shield, a bleak show where the weekly plot is driven by the overarching storyline, and instead I got a respectable action show with a streak of dark comedy that would fit in quite well with Burn Notice and all those similar USA shows that are entertaining for a time but are ultimately so unfulfilling. Maybe that's the type of show that's in right now, but I don't think it's really a fit for FX's temperament and I hope they re-rework the show. Promotional material certainly made it seem more the kind of show I want, and that led to a huge premiere, so I'm pretty sure it'll work.

Yep.

They're trying to stick to Elmore Leonard's tone I think, but it's a little too goofy. Out of Sight was the best Leonard adaptation I've seen, and it struck the right balance between the bad guys being quirky and funny, but also menacing. Same for the villain in the first ep of Justified (Shane from The Shield).

Also, while Olyphant is fine, his supporting cast isn't that interesting.

I did think this last one with the dentist/accountant was a step up from the previous two, though it fizzled out at the end.

The guy gets shot at the border. The end.

I like the show, but that was pretty weak.

Deadliest Catch anyone?

I've been watching the reruns all weekend. It's gonna be strange seeing Captain Phil on there.
