Nationals place Lane Thomas on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left MCL.
Tough news. The 28-year-old outfielder exited Tuesday’s game after he twisted his leg on a stolen base attempt and now will be sidelined for at least the next week. Thomas hit a nice stride in early April with three straight games with multiple hits, but he’s cooled off and has a batting line of .184/.250/.253 in 22 games this season.

The 32-year-old right-hander will hit waivers with the Twins activating Jhoan Duran from the injured list. Bowman made five appearances across 11 days and posted a solid 2.35 ERA and six strikeouts across 7 2/3 innings of work. It would be shocking if a team didn’t take a chance on the journeyman.

I believe he would now qualify as reasonably compensated veteran leadership. Mo couldn't pass that up could he? Wouldn't it be nice to see Matt Bowman warming again?
