Of course I don't know anything about his situation and I'm probably wrong, but finger inflammation seems kind of weak reason to miss a game.
John Brebbia has been DFAed by the White Sox.

It seems obvious at this point that Tyler is somewhat prone to injury.

Pirates LHP Marco Gonzales will have surgery to repair a flexor tendon in his left elbow in September and is expected to miss 9-12 months.
It’s a brutal blow for the veteran who was injured in early August. He has battled forearm/elbow injuries over the last few years and will face an extended recovery as he tries to make his way back in 2025 in what will be his age-33 season.
