Going to Quad Cities he is saying on the broadcast. They are in my hometown for 3 games and I'm out of town that entire time. I guess I'll make a run over to QC some day to check him out.

The Cape Cod performance is probably what got him drafted #22. Had a great little run there w/ the wood bats.

This is also about the fastest I can remember us signing our 1st round pick since Rasmus and Tyler Greene in 05. I honestly can't remember how quickly Ottavino signed, but Kozma took longer than anticipated, Wallace signed with a few weeks to go before the deadline, and Miller and Cox were both real late signings for obvious reasons (way over slot deals sign late so as not to tick off the commissioner's office.)

I think you almost have to go that way even with Zack's slow start at Springfield.

I like Oscar Taveras. I'll stick him in there on upside, though Wong and Cox will be under the Arch quicker.

First-round pick Kolten Wong spent his first day as a pro having fun during batting practice and getting to work on his fielding. Wearing No. 11 to signify his draft class, Wong, the 22nd pick overall, spent time with infield coach Jose Oquendo on how to turn a double play without risking injury. Pro ball will be the first time Wong faces runners aiming to take him out, and Oquendo showed him some knee-saving footwork around the base. Oquendo even gave the 20-year-old infielder a DVD of fielding clips from the Cardinals' 2011 season to remind him.
