a great scene with a great quote included
i coached in my daughter in softball when she was 14. in one game she couldn't throw a strike and the other pitchers weren't there that day. When i went to the mound to talk to her she was crying, i used the "no crying in baseball" quote but with no animation and she just looked at me weird.

About five years later she told me she watched League of their own and at that point realized why i said that. Made me feel kind of bad.
Is that Rosie O'Donnell in the clip?

I'd have to check somewhere and see if it was really LaSorda who said that - it's been attributed, like so many baseball quotes, to a bunch of different people - but the line is: "Throw strikes. Babe Ruth's dead."
Thankks, my dear friend! -- I read it on a Chinese book, it is the first and most interesting book which leads me to MLB.
Leeyat, i love you and your horrible english :) :) :)

(all in good fun)
Thanks, Mr. Cowbell, I am not that good, in fact my English is very limited. But it is true that I figure out English is very interesting when I began talking baseball (I mean Cardinals, FYI! ) in Red Birds' forums, so I guess I should say, thanks Cardinals! :D
