Going back to the chicken/egg deal of fire/success, is there a middle ground? Can a team play with fire and still play poorly? What does that look like? Is it somebody spiking their bat in disgust after a pop fly, or making exaggerated gestures of frustration after a poor throw? Is it that player taking extra BP or fielding practice the following day(outside the eyes of fans) to vent frustration and attempt to correct the problem?

I think it's too early to call it bad. A lot depends on Edmonds and Duncan. If those two are doing well, and Encarnacion comes back, I think it's a formidable offense. Those are big ifs, I know, and if they don't come through, then we're in for a long year. If they do, or we can get a decent trade at mid-season, we could be in very good shape.
