Going to be in Chicago with the family on Friday and Saturday for a mini-vacation. Doing family stuff - Shedd Aquarium on Friday and Museum of Science and Industry on Saturday on the way out of town.
Mostly I just wanted to know if there's a good restaurant around Hotel 71 to eat (with a family) on Friday night. But if there's anything else that's of note around that area, that would be good to know too. We'll probably check out some architecture and the park on Friday too. Obviously time is pretty limited.

Will be there Friday-Sunday to visit family. Looking forward to ruining all the training I've done this season by eating a dozen hot dogs and a couple pizzas.

Well the Loop and Mag Mile are right there, so you can pretty much take your pick of options within a few blocks. Any particular type of cuisine you want to narrow down to? I ate at Devon when I stayed in the area for my anniversary, but that might be too pricey or fancy for the whole family.ghostrunner wrote:Going to be in Chicago with the family on Friday and Saturday for a mini-vacation. For dining, I'd say a trip to The Girl and The Goat is a must, but good luck getting a reservation. And it's not for kids either.
In that area, Heaven on Seven is ok for cajun food for kids. Pizzeria Uno might be good choice, or Gino's East.

For all around value, great food, low prices, kid friendly etc, Greek Islands is awesome. Went there like once a year when I was a kid.

I'm assuming since Jack's location still says "The Hub" that she's going to Harvard (or went to Chicago without you??)

Have fun standing in line for 3 hours to see some [expletive] jelly fish. You could buy a ticket to a ballgame in Miami and see that AND a game AND feathered girls in thongs AND have better weather AND have an ocean nearby AND have better food.

I'll be up in Chicago in October for the Chicago Marathon...we're making a long weekend out of it (5ish days), so I hope I can grabs some drinks with my fellow Chicago Cardinal Fans before and/or after the race.
