A big win for the Ram-os, mainly because if they would have lost it would have been deflating.

Bradford's pick in the endzone was awful, but he rebounded and made some tough plays later.

Good team speed on D. Austin made a few tough grabs. Cook creates a mismatch. Finnegan is a punk, but the team needs him.

Tough matchup next week against ATL. The D will have a bigger challenge. (Julio Jones Roddy White, Gonzales --Steven Jackson could have a big game just because of those guys.)

Secondary worries me. Finnegan got eaten up yesterday. Need to see something from the LBs.

Agreed on Finnegan. He's a wild card back there-looks like he tries to compensate for mediocre coverage ability-with cheap shots, holding, and getting in the WR's head. In the past Fisher seem to like having someone like him gaming it ala Rodney Harrison, but I'm guessing he will need to rein him in.

I thought the LBs played decently- the AZ running game was negligible (yeah, it's not vaunted- but we were accustomed to seeing at least one breakout run a game). They do need Jo-Lonn Dunbar to get back from the drug tank.
Rams had their safeties in a very deep cover 2 (I was at the game - it looked like 20+ yards from scrimmage) - giving up the middle of the field, waiting for mistakes - that rarely came yesterday.

Defense has tough matchups next week.

Ryan, who drove the Falcons 77 yards to the New Orleans 3 on their final possession, started to celebrate when his third-and-goal pass reached running back Steven Jackson at the goal line. But the ball bounced off Jackson’s hands even before Saints linebacker Ramon Humber hit him.

“When my number is called, I expect to make the play,” Jackson said. “I dropped the ball. It wasn’t the easiest catch, but I’m not a person to make excuses.”

Um, sounds like he just did.
