Thanks everyone! It was really cool, and like I said...something to cross of the ol' Bucket List.

Another "somewhat" bonus was we got to meet the actor who played Tyreese in The Walking Dead who was another person throwing out a "First Pitch". Btw, he's AWFUL at throwing a baseball...held onto the ball too long, spiked it about 5 feet outside of the mound area, where it proceeded to bounce 3 or 4 times before it reached Slovoesdfljfkrjorich :P

Did you use the windup? Clearly you haven't been listening to Matheny's opinion on that. Probably blew your chance at making the team.

Seriously, way to go. Now who can we expect to be our next forum interview? you booked somebody, right?

I didn't use a windup (even though that 1st pic looks like I was stepping back). I think that first pic was more of me just getting ready to throw. I just took a step and threw one up there.

There's was an older gentleman that decided to do a full windup for his pitch and in all honesty, he looked kinda foolish....especially when he proceeded to bounce it up there.

Edit: whoops, that first comment may have been sarcasm, but i didn't notice the 2 shades of blue!

I was sarcastically criticizing you. But yes, it did look like you were stepping back for a windup.

Awesome experience, karp. Did the team photograph it, and if so, when do you get those pics?

Yeah, I believe they did (evidenced by the guy off to the left taking pics) and I believe the people who I won the opportunity to do this from will get the pics and then will get them to me. Unforutnately, not sure when that will be though.

You are going to blow up one of those pics to cover one of the walls in your man cave, right?

Great stuff! Glad you had the opportunity to do that and that you didn't bounce one up there.
