Hes a degenerate gambler so its not like hes gonna tap out of anything that easily.

Basically the premise was that fanduel was altering lineups after the ability to alter lineups had closed, in favor of certain accounts.

Im not well versed in fanduel bc ive never used it, but he was making a pretty good case.

Anyway, stuff like this is just scam-bait imo.
This sounds vaguely familiar to those "penny auction" sites. At one time -- not sure if it became more regulated and they were forced to get rid of this -- the sites reserved the right to bid on the auctions themselves if the items weren't selling at a price that was satisfactory to them.

So, let's say you were bidding on a 60" TV and the current bid was $0.09 and time was about to expire. The site could say, "nah... that's not high enough", and bump the bid up to $0.10. It was rigged! Even if you were miraculously the only person bidding on an item, you could still get screwed. It was basically the equivalent of a "reserve" on an eBay auction.

Also, yes, the DraftKings / FanDuel commercials are absolutely insufferable. What makes it even worse is how frequently the commercials air. For the love of God, make them stop!

election cycle ads will make them stop eventually - and then we'll feel nostalgic for the Gomes Bros.

The 5% of users who make up the most active Fanduel/Draftkings accounts have written scripts that automatically change their lineups as soon as injury information or start/sit information comes out, and also automatically alters lineups based on what opponents are doing. There are also scripts that flag head to head matchups against gamblers who have very little experience (ie, have entered on a few contests). These accounts are entering hundreds of matchups per day. In the long run, none of us will beat them.

As much as i loathe that sniveling [expletive] drew magery, this is a pretty good read on draftkings and how much it [expletive] sucks and is annoying and a scam:

I can't think of a more annoying, more over-run commercial than Draftkings or Fanduel. Every. Single. Goddamn. Commercial. Break on MLB Network, and every single. Goddamn. Commercial. Break. On 101.1 ESPN in the STL area.

Every break. It makes me want to destroy my TV/Radio each time it happens.

It's worse than the "Kars for Kids" ad. And nothing should be worse than the "Kars for Kids" ad.

And yes, [expletive] Drew Magary, but he's spot on here. But that's another conversation.

The amount of money they are spending on ads plus getting basically all of sports media to shill for them overnight must be incredible. That alone would give me pause about playing because their "rake" has to be huge to support all of that.
