Big rivers will be a concern too. We are having a meeting tomorrow for our drainage district to discuss the potential flood on the Mississippi. It's already above flood stage.

Cuivre River was way out of its banks along highway 61 near Troy Mo. The creek in our fair burb flooded Manchester road *tangent rant below.

got stuck on interstate 70 in St Peters for hour and half- they shut the interstate down due to floods. not sure of the timing as to why there was no signage up informing drivers this.

this ought to be an interesting few days-it seems that water doesn't go away as quick this time of year with cool temps, and the dormant vegetation not absorbing much of it.

For now the farm looks to be ok for now.

My cabin though..... The Illinois is supposed to crest at 36ft on Wednesday which is about 4 inches less than it was last summer when it got ridiculous. I had two inches to spare before my cabin got flooded. So if the forecast holds it will be ok, but I think we've gotten a bit more rain here than expected. Fingers crossed because I don't really want to spend the winter gutting the cabin and hoping it doesn't flood in the spring.

I'm confused about your tangent rant. What stretch of road are you referring to?
Chesterfield Valley floods and got billions of dollars in investment since last flood.
