I watched the Dubs-Pelicans last night and it was just about the weirdest thing in the world. Curry set a record for most 3s in a game. Klay got his shot going. KD was fine. Draymond had 11 assists and 12 boards and held The Brow to like 0 points for the first 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. The Warriors were playing a very bad team. With all that you'd think the score line would be like 126-85 but they blew a 21 point lead, going down by 1 in the third, and never really pulled away. Weird game.

I imagine there will be one out there. The question to me is: will it happen while Davis is still in NO. There are not a lot of stars on the market next year. Curry is one, but it's tough to see him leaving Oakland. Griffin is a UFA in 2018, as are KD and CP3. Otherwise, the star pool isn't very deep in free agency the next couple years. Boogie will be out there in 2018, but I'm not sure he's the piece you'd want.
I can't either but they wouldn't come play with Paul and the jury is out on if they'll play with The Brow.
Let's say worst case scenario this year turns to best case scenario for the future and they get a great spot in the lottery.
Scouts love Josh Jackson and are hyping him as a potentially great wing player with elite athleticism, basketball IQ, and and tools, with the caveat that his ballhandling isn't great but is improving.
Dennis Smith missed his senior year of HS but at camps has looked fully recovered and his headed to NC State. He's getting CP3 comps, with scouts praising court vision and passing--he led the Adidas Gauntlet in assists this summer.
Markelle Fultz will be a freshman at Washington this year, was MVP at the FIBA Americas Championship, and is also being praised for elite level tools and athleticism.
Lonzo Bell is the biggest blue chipper in a great UCLA freshman class this year and is someone that would fit well with the Pelicans--great point guard who can impact a game without scoring a lot.
Harry Giles is going to Duke, and is a big, long, athletic wing player who scouts love.
Holliday and Evans are both UFAs after this year and possibly gone, and I think Frazier and Galloway are both good enough to make a strong PG tandem for a while. If they got a high end wing player out of the draft next year, and if Davis stays healthy and continues what he's doing, and they make a good draft pick who has a great rookie year, we might be just a few years away from NO being a destination for that one free agent or a star player unhappy with his current club.
