The actor that voiced John Redcorn in King of the Hill was recently murdered in what appears to be a hate crime. This just exemplifies why we NEED a pride month.

There's a lot to unpack in the Joss story. Unfortunately he was not in a good place at all according to his neighbors in San Antonio. As in, there's video of him walking down his street screaming incoherently, with a dog's skull on a pitchfork. Homophobia may been part of it, though.

From the articles I read, the neighbors had been threatening Joss and his husband for years, up to and including threatening to burn down their house. Which actually wound up happening. Joss and his husband came home to find their house torched. Their three dogs dead inside. And one of the dog''s head and collar impaled. If I came home to find all that, I'd lose my sh!t too.

OK, I read a few other sources. It does sound like Joss was having some mental health issues. But they did find their home burned down in January. I'm not sure what to make of the dog head story. It sounds like he and the neighbor that shot him had beef going back years.

Witnesses of the shooting reported hearing homophobic slurs and yelling prior to the shooting, too.

There are many layers to this story, but it sounds like homophobia is definitely one of them.
