My roommate is a Jets fan. He offered me his condolences after hearing the news. I am assuming that's a bad thing.

Why? Did we get Sanchez as well?

Bradford is a more accurate passer than Sanchez, but would the Jets' offense have really taken off with the QB completing 60% of his passes instead of 55%?

The Rams will play the Patriots in England next season. They will play there in '13 and '14 as well.

I think Bradford has shown better decision making than Sanchez as well. It's not entirely Bradford's fault that the bulk of his smart passes end up being dropped.

It may have more to do with Int's.

Bradford career Int% is 2.2 and Sanchez is 3.6%. That's per attempt so it seems odd and the TD:INT ration is similar-ish (24:21 Bradford, 55:51 Sanchez), but Sanchez has had a better O-Line and better D so he's had to pass less. ~30 Att/game for Sanchez and 36.5 att/game for Bradford. Keller, Holmes, Plaxico, Edwards and Cotchery seems like a better list of WR's than what Bradford's had most of his career here.

Then play with leads as opposed to from behind makes a difference in defensive play calling. I don't know much about the OC, but I'd argue Bradford's been a bit smarter with the ball than Sanchez over the last two years and arguably a better passer.

The easy way to make that decision is this: Who'd you rather have, Bradford or Sanchez? I bet if Rex Ryan could trade for Bradford straight up for Sanchez right now he'd do it without blinking.

Bradford is better than Sanchez, but I'm not sold on him being all that much better. There certainly isn't much evidence that he's so much better that you could have plugged Bradford into the Jets' offense and had a powerhouse unit.

I think the Jets are a playoff team this year with Bradford over Sanchez, but they probably aren't putting up 30 points a game either.

A bigger question for me is, how often are the coordinators some what limited to what personnel they have and franchise philosophy? Spags had a great D in NY, but won't he have vastly different players in NO? Same with Gregg Williams. At some point, doesn't a big part of what's going on come down to the Head Coach Front Office?
