At least now every time a Chicago sports fan mocks STL players for drinking problems, they don't have much to stand on since multiple players in their town have been accused of rape.

Starlin Castro, now Kane.

There are also multiple Bears players who have committed a number of crimes, but crimes by NFL players don't count since the NFL is so amazingly awesome and gets great TV ratings.

Having observed other situations like this, this girl is probably going through hell. There are probably thousands of people accusing her of making it up, but they probably aren't saying it that nicely.

On the other hand, some girls do completely make this stuff up, and it is hell for an athlete to clear their name.

For example, I'm fairly confident that the Kobe Bryant thing was an exagerration. I believe that they did something, but it was completely consentual. Big Ben on the other hand, a bit fishier.

Patrick Kane--eff him, I'm positive he's guilty as hell.

Details are starting to come out and it looks like it's the same ole same ole blame the victim thing going on here.

SkyBar’s owner, Mark Croce, told The Buffalo News on Saturday night that he has no way of knowing what happened between the woman and Kane at Kane’s home. He said he only knows Kane casually and has never been to his home.

But Croce told The News that he and several of his employees noticed a young woman “hanging all over” Kane at SkyBar for at least two hours that night, putting her hands on his arms and “being very forward, very flirtatious with him.” He said he does not know the woman and does not know her name.

“It was almost like she stationed herself near him and was keeping other women away from him,” Croce said. “I noticed it and kind of laughed about it.”

A bar manager that night also noticed the woman’s behavior with Kane, Croce said.

Croce said the woman and a female friend “followed” Kane as he left the nightclub with a couple of male friends around 3 a.m. last Sunday.

“I don’t know if this is the same woman who made the rape allegation against him,” Croce said. “I only know what I saw that night on my own premises. If you’re going to ask what happened between them after they left that night, how would I know?”

Just as the person accused deserves the benefit of the doubt until we get to see evidence, so does the accuser. Falsely accusing someone of rape is a crime with consequences as well.

Think about if it actually is true. Now we have a victim of a rape and a victim of gobs of other threats. The threats make things even worse for the victim, who probably wasn't doing so well to begin with. And OK let's say she is making it up. She still wouldn't deserve the vitriol being spewed. Sorry it hits close to home because someone close to me was raped. She found out who her true friends really were after it happened.

It would really suck to have a dynasty you love tainted by something like this. All those big goals that he scored...I feel bad for Hawks fans.
