If they are stealing signs & identifiying the pitch to the batter via something on the scoreboard I would definitely say that's against the rules.

I think that's the rub though. With the technology available today, a team might be able to be instantly streaming from a CF camera zoomed in on a catcher's signals to somebody in the clubhouse/dugout, they could be relaying it to the 3B coach or guy at 2B, then relaying it to the batter.

Not saying that's what the Brewers are doing, but it would be somewhat easy to do.

When multiple teams are thinking something fishy is up, I'm a bit inclined to think something is out of line.
If they are stealing signs, they've gotta be more streamlined than that. Can they relay the signs to the 3B coach quickly enough for the 3B coach to then relay it to the batter who has to shift his focus from the coach to the pitcher in time for the pitch?

I don't see how a right handed batter is going to get anything from the 3rd base coach, anyway. It'd have to be the first base coach.

Unless its verbal. "Hey, hey!" for fast ball, "Let's go, let's go!" for curve, "Leroy!" for a slider, etc.

I would agree.

I also have a bridge to sell you if you believe this is happening (not you personally, you generally).

Catchers are bright, perceptive players. Russell Martin and Miguel Montero have been big league starters for many years. If they're suspicious, I think everyone should be suspicious.

This wasn't my bright idea, I was just summarizing this:

Now this isn't the first time the Brewers have been accused of stealing signs. Former St. Louis Cardinals' manager Tony La Russa suggested that something was going on with the scoreboard lights to help tip hitters off as to what pitch was coming next. Cardinal pitcher Chris Carpenter also accused Brewer base runners of relaying signs to hitters, and La Russa went as far as filing a complaint.

And you for some reason act as though you have more insight to the situation than the guys on the field. Your sad sack of a team now has multiple teams & players basically accusing them of cheating, you just find that a coincidence? Oh and the only place they seem to dominate is at Miller Park, again...everyone is just making [expletive] up.

While the Brewers have had some interesting splits it doesn't seem implausible.

I do find the idea that they are stealing signs and teams are sure that they are and then saying something in the media funny.
If are doing this all you need to do is put a sign for a changeup away and put a fastball high and tight. That gets the message pretty quick.

Or if they are doing it, then document it and use it get some suspensions.

Besides I thought the brewers cheating had more to do with needles and asses.

It's only "Leroy" if it's a backdoor slider.
