Agree with both of you.Cronos wrote:Yeah, that's where I am with this. It's just disappointing because it really changes my opinion of him as a person. I'm not going to boo him, but I'm certainly not going to applaud him ever again. But, it's not like he went to a team like the Orioles and went only for the money. The Angels are a good organization, with some pieces in place, and a good manager. I can see why that spot was attractive to Pujols. If he had gone only for the money, I'd be kind of upset right now.Swingingbunt wrote:He's not the man I thought he was, and that's more disappointing than anything. Good job to Mo and the office for making a VERY competitive offer but not folding to him.
And like you said, the FO did all they could, and worked as hard as they could, but they didn't go Jim Hendry and just throw stupid money and years like Moreno and company did just to get him.

I have that same part of me. It wants a second birth certificate to pop up putting him at 34.doe_boy wrote:I don't know what to say...so conflicted.
I thought I'd be ok with it. But, it's still something that makes me think.
I wish him well. But, a part of me is thinking, '[expletive] you Albert!'
