That's a great attitude. I try to keep things in perspective like that.

With a record that clean, my guess is that you'll be fine. I had a substantial claim a few months ago after running my car off the road, and I was pleasantly surprised when Geico didn't increase my premiums at all. I've been with them for around 7 years during which I had one speeding ticket, though I'm not sure if they ever caught wind of it.

With the Coen bros talk on the board today, I decided I would spend the evening with a couple of their films I haven't seen in a while. My initial problem was in choosing which ones. However, then a real wrench was thrown in the works: 1st season of Game of Thrones, which I decided it was time to start watching, came in. DECISIONS.

You haven't started Game of Thrones? I'm jealous.

Nope. Since cutting cable 2 or 3 years ago, it's been mostly Netflix. Was wanting to watch Breaking Bad for some time, but decided to wait until (almost) all of it was on Netflix because I figured once I started I wouldn't want to wait. Watched it all in probably 3 weeks (I do have a job after all, or I probably could have done it in 1) and immediately bought season 5.2 on Amazon when I got to that point. Couldn't figure out what could follow Breaking Bad; my initial urge was to re-watch Sopranos or the Wire, the only shows guaranteed to be in the same league. Then I remembered all the hype Game of Thrones had been getting and I decided to go that route. I'm pretty stoked.

I definitely prefer binge watching shows too. Breaking Bad is the first show I had to watch as it aired since probably Deadwood or the first few seasons of Lost. I had to dig in to Game of Thrones as soon as it came out on disc just because everyone else wouldn't shut up about it. It's not on the same level as other great shows in terms of writing or acting, but it might be the most consistently entertaining. Can't wait for the third season dvds to be released.

we are using my ma's hbogo since I made my wife drop cable but every evening we have to reactivate the account when the stream slows to a crawl.

I've seen sporadic comments, but how is life as a cable cutter going?
