According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Brewers have expressed interest in free agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain.
Milwaukee is loaded with good outfield talent -- both young and more established -- but Rosenthal says Cain has been a "frequent topic of conversation" among the club's decision-makers this winter. Perhaps the Brewers could find a trade partner for Domingo Santana or Keon Broxton to free up a spot. Cain, 31, batted .300/.363/.440 with 15 home runs and 26 stolen bases in 155 games with Kansas City in 2017. He has also been tied to the Blue Jays and Mets over the course of this slow-moving offseason.

Giants need a CF badly and can see them being in on Broxton.

Yeah - he went to KC along with Alcides Escobar and Jake Odorizzi for Zack Greinke after the 2010 season.

The Dodgers are nearing a trade that will send lefty Scott Alexander to Los Angeles, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports on Twitter. Righty Trevor Oaks will go to the Royals while lefty Luis Avilan will land with the White Sox, according to Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times (Twitter link). Clearly, there are some other elements of the swap that aren’t yet known.
