Do it. You won't regret it.

How do you think Michael can afford to eat at those places all the time? He's made millions off this site, and your 40K posts had more than a little to do with it.

GRB+ is really worth every penny though.

So do you go out at a fine dining resturant for the food or the experience?

I doubt my wardrobe would allow me in a place like that, I know I joke about a lot of stuff but believe it or not I'm pretty serious about the wardrobe. It's a step above homeless (and a pretty small step). I did buy a pair of jeans last weekend which would allow me into a place like Heaven on Seven which I love - so I'll buy if you want to go there.
You can wear jeans in Sepia.
Indeed.

We can even sit at the bar.

This is a real offer, jim.
Thank you, it's very generous and I know you truly enjoy the dining experience. It's a hobby, I completely get it. But I just am not one of those people who enjoy this. I generally don't like the food at these places (it's too weird), and even when I have gone to places like this and enjoyed the food I can't get past the cost. I just can't spend that kind of money for dinner, or have someone spend that kind of money on me. I can spend $600 on a baseball ticket(more accurately, $1200 on two), but I can't get myself to justify $50 for a dinner. It's just not worth it to me.

But thank you very much. Someday wings and beer (on me) when the Cardinals are on a TV somewhere.

No worries. I totally understand. To be honest I didn't think you'd accept. I appreciate your earlier offer.

If you like Heaven on Seven you should try Big Jones just north of my hood. They have some excellent NOLA dishes.

Before a Wrigley game you should try Toon's. For a bar they have excellent po boy's and southern cooking specials. Great wings and standard bar food too.

Be warned: they give you donuts at brunch. Like, here's a little plate of donuts. So don't, on your first time, order any of the bread/pastry stuff until you....

I just assumed jim might go to a city restaurant for brunch.

What's wrong with me?

-----------

Another good one in that style is Carriage House, which is a block from my place on Division. Low-country food. Lots of grits and grains from Anson Mills, low-country boil, ham hocks, all sorts of good stuff.
