I hate when I go somewhere and someone tells me "park on the northeast side of the building" or "use the west doors." Do I look like I've got a compass out?

I've been battling my air conditioner all summer. When I set it to 69 it rages on and on and it gets cold as hell. When I set it at 70 it gets real warm before it kick on.

Does the air conditioner vent blow directly (or nearly directly) on you? I've had something like this problem too and have had some luck pointing the vent away and running a ceiling fan to circulate the air temperatures in the room.

No, it's my whole first floor that just gets cold with the A/C set at 69. I suppose my other first world problem is that the ceiling fan down there doesn't work for [expletive]. It seems to have two settings, slow and balls out wind tunnel.

yeah i have mine set at 78. i live in a duplex that was built in the 20s (and im on the top) and it doesn't circulate well so there's no way i could do 69. can't keep up with how hot it can get up there

Something is going on with my hot tub auto temperature thingy, and it's setting the water 2 degrees higher than the reading. I had it set at 102, but the water was being maintained at 104. My wife said it was too hot, so now I have to lower it to 100 so that the water will be maintained at 102.

The other problem: I like it at 104, my wife prefers 102.
