I wish I could find a clip of Palin I saw on the news this morning. She was talking about how it's gonna get rough with the gloves coming off. It was almost like she was playing into the Tina Fey impersonation.

I'm kinda sad that Palin will fade back into obscurity when Obama wins. She's nice to have around.

Let me just say that there are some really sharp, informed folks feeding this thread (on both sides). I'm impressed. I think I can honestly say that I've learned more from this thread than from any of the media outlets.

Just heard her say to a protester at one of her rallies: "Bless your heart! My son is fighting in Iraq to defend your right to protest."

I cannot put into words how much I despise Sarah Palin.

I think her middle name is Apocalypse.

She does remind me of Tracy Flick at times.

If I was VP I think I would want the fact that my kid was in Iraq kind of under the covers. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it would seem to maybe put a crosshair on him?

Nonsense. What you'd do is greatly oversimplify what he's risking his life for for political gain.

If I had a kid in Iraq I'd use it to get all kinds of things, like discounts:

"Excuse me. Yeah, hiya there. This is an awfully nice lookin' 42" HD plasma here, but I'm afraid that I just can't give ya that price for it. Ya see, my son is fighting in I-rack for your right to sell that tv so I'm just gonna go ahead and take that for free."
