Why is so much furniture powered? I can pull a goddam lever with, what, .75 pounds? of resistance. I don't want to pay more for a heavier couch with a feature I won't need until I'm 85.

its interesting how an expiring decade ultimately bleeds into the next. not usually until like, 3-4 years in does a decade define itself.

Random weird story coming up.
Little aw has a friend that lives in the same neighborhood. Good kid. Let’s call him LAF. LAFs dad is my age. Played baseball in college at a little college. Good guy, IMO at least. I always wanted to invite them to things/hang out. We have a crawfish boil every year but mrs aw always said she didn’t feel comfortable around LAFs mom. Which is understandable because she’s weird.
LAFs mom is a psychiatrist. She put LAFs dad in a treatment wing of a rehab facility for ... porn addiction and alcoholism. LAFs mom told mrs aw he isn’t an alcoholic. I’ve hung out with him. I’ve coached baseball with him. He’s not an alcoholic. Dude barely drinks. He does sneak alcohol because his wife, LAFs mom, is super strict. She’s writing a book about how to snurvive the coming rapture of Jesus Christ to give reference. But that isn’t a reason to put someone in treatment. And porn addiction? Please. According to LAFs mom she did an internet search and he had looked at porn 5 times over the past month.
LAFs mom is trying to be friends with mrs aw which is how I know all this. She said I can text LAFs dad so I did. I said hey bud I’d love to see you. Hope you’re good. Let me know if you need anything.
No response. I think LAFs mom has put poor guy in an institution that he can’t get out of for no reason. Or killed him.

Or, I don't know, maybe he was raptured and you should have listened. And everyone knows the cutoff for rapturing is 4 porn visits a month, so his wife saved him. You've got this all wrong.

Seems about right I guess.
I haven't had a drink for 10 days short of 10 years now, but if I am sure the rapture is upon us, I'm gonna go down drunk.

Started eating oatmeal for breakfast Monday-Friday last winter; and I am still doing it.
