You're such an apologist. Almost every player in the league plays with passion. That's 100% irrelevant.

As I said, Peyton blows up........... he just doesn't look for a camera before he does it.

Did people pay attention to it? Sure they did. As I said, the WWE is insanely popular also, and available on cable almost any night of the week if you need to get your fill of "refreshment". You don't need Sherman.

dude plays with a lot of passion and he was fired up...so what if he blew up on camera. everyone was laughing at that jets player who came flying into the camera and talking about all the non-believers and keyshawn and tom jackson. CANT WAIT.
I hear you on the clichés. But there has to be something in between "Thank you, football Jeebus, for hamburgers, cuddly seals, and football wins" and acting like an escaped mental patient.

Big picture, of course, it doesn't really matter. It was a 15 second deal. I guess the whole Seahawks franchise just rubs me the wrong way, whether it's Sherman or all of those guys with the drug suspension or Pete Carroll (who's totally the kind of jackass who'd run an onside kick on you in Madden if he was up by 40) or the never-ending crap about the 12th Man… They just bug me.

Everyone in the NFL is a douche bag except Russell Wilson.

Really though, it wasn't just a 15 second deal. He does this repeatedly.

He's a camera whore. Again, that's fine.........he's not the first and won't be the last........... but let's call a spade a spade.

I hear this, too, and agree (from what I've seen and heard from the dude). I was just trying to stick to the conversation about the interview.

If the Broncos win the Super Bowl, it'd be hilarious if the Obligatory Hot On-Field Reporter Chick sticks a microphone in Peyton Manning's face and he starts lighting into how crappy he thinks Michael Crabtree is as a receiver.

I'd like to be the idiot kicker who gets liquored up and shoots off his mouth.

Is it too much to ask a grown man to act like a grown man when he's asked a question in front of millions of Americans? Not to mention, this isn't the first time he's behaved this way. Again, if that's the image that he's trying to portray, he has every right to do it. Just don't change your story later when you get called out for it. Own it.
The best to ever play the position says 'hello'.

Manning NEVER brings attention to himself (unless you're talking about the comical SNL skits or the Papa John's commercials, which take nothing away from hsi team). Have you ever watched one of his post-game interviews? "My line did a tremendous job blocking for us, and our defense did a great job of getting the ball back for us. My receivers made some terrific catches".

Everyone is talking about Manning because he's arguably having the best year that an NFL quarterback has had ............. ever, not because he got in front of a camera and told the world that he's the best, like Sherman did.
You're right. He places the attention on his teammates by throwing them under the bus. After losing to the Steelers in 2005-06 playoffs.
"I'm trying to be a good teammate here. Let's just say we had some problems in protection.''

He's certainly not perfect. I think it's telling that you had to go back 8 years to find something even remotely damning. For a guy who's been in the league for 16 years............... if that's the worst post-game comment he's made............. that's not bad.

Edit: For the record, Manning was sacked 5 times that day.

I didn't go on some extensive search, it just immediately came to mind.
