It's all good. He's human. As I said, if 8 years ago was the last time you remember Peyton being a dick, then that's pretty damn good. It's probably 8 weeks for Sherman.

To be honest, I can understand a quarterback giving that answer if asked "what went wrong"? If you look at the entire context of that quote, he gave plenty of credit to Pittsburgh for making things difficult, and said that they struggled to protect. I don't love it......he should have handled it differently.

The WWE comparison is pretty apt considering the Seahawks are widely suspected of PED use, and I'm not just talking about adderall.

These things have a tendency to work themselves out on the field. Hell, it even happened the last time the Seahawks were in the Super Bowl with Jerramy Stevens. I wouldn't be surprised if Sherman gets burned for a TD or flagged for PI in a big spot. A big part of his game is operating in the gray area of illegal contact and the refs might be watching him a little more closely. He might have been smarter to wait until they actually won it all before shining the spotlight on himself.

Even for kickers, there's nowhere to hide in the NFL

For all you worried about lack of justice with Sherman and his mouth - he'll have to come up big next week. If he succeeds you tip your cap, he'll be a step slower next year. And then the next. Then the next year he's virtually done and he's one of those 10 guys around a table on Fox/CBS pregame or ESPN -all which I have on mute.

True, but in his day CB was coverage only, you could mouth and hype to advantage. Now he'd have to try to tackle someone like Roddy White, Calvin Johnson, Boldin. And now you have all the screen passes and pick plays outside with Deion trying to tackle Vernon Davis etc - Lol, I don't think Deion ever made a tackle in the NFL.

The Greatest example. I loved and loathed Ali. He could sure talk, but then he had to step in the ring and actually fight George Foreman - back when George was a lethal badass.

Still a favorite movie of mine. It seemed Ali talked so much, because he was scared and needed to.

But then, time fate and some dude like this catches up to them.

Man, Ali looks totally whipped at the end of this - no yapping for sure.

Memo to all of the Richard Sherman apologists: Stifle. This talented yet insufferable defensive back for the Seattle Seahawks isn't the 21st-century version of Malcolm, Martin or Medgar.

So you should quit your hand-wringing, and between now and the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks, you should remember that Sherman put himself into this position of getting blasted in so many ways. Mostly, when it comes to either screaming or whispering racism these days, you should find a more worthy cause.

This isn't it.
My neighbors think that Sherman is the greatest, and I've had enough already. It's only a game, folks.
