The NHL changed its playoff format a few years ago so division foes would face each other as much as possible to build those rivalries. It's worked to some extent, but it's also given some teams an easier road to the conference finals. Not as much an issue this year, but there's been times where the Central has had the top three teams in points or three of the top four. Those teams tear each other apart in the first two rounds while the Pacific coasted through.

The Wild & Hawks were the 2 best teams in the western conference, & they're out; I feel pretty good over our chances vs. Nashville, then Ducks/Oilers, to actually reach the finals.
However, here's our season records head-to head:
Preds: 2W, 3L
Oilers: 0W, 2L, 1OTL
Ducks: 2W, 1L
Remember though, the majority of those losses were during our goalie struggles.
Dang it, these Blues are toying with my hopes yet again.

Anything that happens now is gravy, so I'm just going into this series cautiously optimistic

They're just trying to lull me into a false sense of security so I take my metaphorical cup off for the inevitable kick to the nuts. Not gonna work. 28 years of nutcracker performances has me always ready for a Blues letdown. Hell, if the Blues actually won the cup, I'd probably have to wait a few weeks before celebrating. You never know. The NHL could take away the cup win and 5 first round picks because Armstrong said, "hey" to a potential RFA or something.

Wtf happened with Stevens? It's like he was traded for shanahan but the blues didn't want to trade him or something weird. Then shanny years later was traded for pronger and the circle was kind of complete but the blues still got effed.
