I spotted one of those puppies behind me on Big Bend in WG this morn. How's scootering coming along?

What time? It was probably me, because I take Manchester to Big Bend to the office.

It's going quite well, except for the parking nazi's around my office. Look folks, I have a parking pass, but I can't put it on the gd scooter--somebody is just going to take it. But I can't park anywhere else because you'll give me a gd ticket. Eff off.

But yeah, besides that it's going well.

A gal in our neighborhood bought some sort of scooter, I've only seen her leave the hood once on it, it's powder blue and she was wearing a matching powder blue shirt and helmet...I thought it was Mama Smurf scooting through the hood! Anyway, her scooter isn't very big and doesn't appear to have much power....I'm concerned as to how she'll handle the street outside of our subdivision. People drive like maniacs...they'll run her down without blinking, she'll be a mere blue speed bump on their way to work!

Be safe!

There have started to be tons of these things in the area, and that's the biggest problem. Folks didn't buck up to get a size suitable to the conditions under which they'll be driving,,, speed/power vs. speed limits/traffic conditions. Just a story the other day about a young man being squashed by a pickup. I think I'll be reading more of those stories, unfortunately.

I would agree with that. It's tempting for one to buy a 49cc scooter that's cheaper and they don't have to get it licensed/insured, while figuring they can get by with it's top speed (usually around 40 mph). But for an average guy (around 200 pounds), there's not enough get-up-and-go there to be able to drive in most conditions safely. You should only get a 49cc scooter if you're wanting to just putt around a small neighborhood/town.

You know, that's right below my office and I have never eaten there. Perhaps I shall give it a try later this week (I brought my lunch today).
