Morgan is a 4 WAR guy this year according to fangraphs as well....
1 WAR for each of his personalities.

Ha. I think it's more like 0.5 WAR for each of his personalities though!

Kind of surprised there's no Nyjer Morgan tonight. I figured Roenicke would have him in there in the hopes that he distracts or otherwise messes with Carpenter. Maybe he wanted more defense with Kotsay, anticipating a pitcher's duel?
Not the reason. Kotsay is a terrible OF, especially in Center. I would have been happy with Gomez out there as he has swung the stick well lately and is exceptional on D. This is just a horrendous decision by Roenicke. He will cost the Crew at least 1 run in the field.
It'll even out if TLR gets sac-bunt happy.

I know this question falls in the category of "late to the party", but why isn't McGehee playing?

Because he is bad. Hairston is superior at every baseball skill except perhaps slightly less power.

I was wondering the same thing, he seems like a Cardinal destroyer in the past.
but the stats aren't as impressive as thought Not bad, however three HR's against Edwin Jackson last time out and he still didn't get the nod - was a bit of a puzzler

As a McGehee fantasy owner this year, I can field this question:
He sucks ass.
.626 OPS over 600 PAs, which was the third lowest OPS of all qualifying players in MLB this year. (He was beaten out only by Jason Bartlett and Alex Rios).
