That is the problem I have with these stand your ground laws. I'm not saying that anybody should just do nothing and get killed but in a stand your ground case there is no other witness to tell the other side of the story. If there isn't anybody else around and no cameras, you could pretty much get away with murdering anybody if you do it right.

And I have a huge issue with the way people view the cases in general like Trayvon Martin. Maybe he was beating George Zimmerman's butt however Zimmerman f'ing started the altercation by following the kid and putting him in a position where he felt trapped and had to defend himself. TM was standing his ground and defending himself, not GZ. You can't just look at the last 10 seconds before the trigger is pulled, situations are more complex than that. Too many people are too stupid or lazy to put any actual thought into the overall picture though. Based on that case, if I want to kill you then I just have to start a fight with you and once you start beating me up... I get to kill you and walk without any legal consequences.

That murderer of the guy on the float trip a few years back would have been standing his ground - he had a gun, but they had rocks. Rocks don't count as self defense

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Republican gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens is selling so-called "ISIS hunting permits" to raise money.

Greitens' campaign distributed an email Wednesday promoting bumper stickers with the words "ISIS HUNTING PERMIT 2016." The sticker says it expires when "we defeat this evil."

everbody knows fighting ISIS is the chief concern for a Missouri governor candidate.

Are the candidates promoting this crap like the governor candidate really that stupid or do they just know their voting base is?

Some times it's not about being able to afford trash service. In my hometown everyone has trash service. When I bought our current house there was over two large dumpsters of bagged up traah in the home. The auctioneer said he'd hauled off two more that was in the garage and an a portable building they were selling. Literally all they had to do was walk it out to the road. I don't get it.

After cutting funding to the Public Defenders' office, the Public Defenders' Office assigns Nixon to be a public defender.

I saw that this morning and almost caused a scene laughing at my desk. The area I just got moved to is way too quiet. I want to be back in the commotion of the customer service area where people would barely notice me losing it at my desk like that.

It's amazing. Barrett must have a hard time managing the public defender's office with his huge brass balls always in the way.
