Rush did some great work in the 80s too. Moving Pictures is a multi-platinum album. Permanent Waves, Signals, Power Windows and Hold Your Fire were all Gold/Platinum as well.
Plus you had Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason, and G n R's Appetite for Destruction!

The guy and song that was the hit of the Grammy's is just ripping Tom Petty.
People still love the 80's.

I've really come around on Rush in the last year. I decided a while back that I needed to learn a lot of Rush songs on the bass and while I knew Geddy Lee was amazing I didn't just realize how much until I actually started learning the songs myself. That got me more interested in Rush in general and since them I've become a fan. I definitely have a huge respect for them I did not have a year ago.
