What about that Guitar Center employee in Bothell? Sure he missed a few notes, but that was a valiant attempt at the intro to Purple Haze.

This has the makings of an off-season GRB tournament.
I'd vote for Pearl Jam over both ZZ Top and the Cure.

Pearl Jam might be better than the prez, but I feel like Eddie Vedder spawning an entire generation of [expletive] rockers who sing in his trademark "singing from one side of his mouth while chewing a bite of sandwich in the other" style loses them enough points that they have to be ranked lower.
Odesza are also better. Harvey Danger had that flagpole sitta song. That makes them better. Say what you want about how terrible Macklemore is, but he's still better than PJ.
You could probably talk me into Temple of the Dog because while it has Vedder, it is considerably less Vedder than PJ.

If annoyingness of their spawn is a metric, no way you put Pearl Jam behind Nirvana ...or Death Cab.thrill wrote:Pearl Jam might be better than the prez, but I feel like Eddie Vedder spawning an entire generation of [expletive] rockers who sing in his trademark "singing from one side of his mouth while chewing a bite of sandwich in the other" style loses them enough points that they have to be ranked lower.
Say what you will about Creed, this is music's greatest atrocity:
"I get a thousand hugs, from 10,000 lightning bugs" is no "the glove box is inaccurately named, and everybody knows it," but it's meant to be:

Have you ever listened to Sleater Kinney? I mean [expletive] man. They shred.MrSaigon wrote:One of you say The Presidents of United States of America so that I know you're joking.thrill wrote:Screw it. Yes. Count it. Well so does Jeff Ament, but apparently everyone that sings along with the radio on their way home to Bellevue (and sweet merciful [expletive] is the traffic bad there. That's Portland in 10 years, I hope not 5.), is still better.

To be fair I think the Owl City Kid is autistic or something along those lines which automatically puts him ahead of Pearl Jam.
