I think Culvers tricks people into thinking it's good by dumping butter all over everything.

I dump ketchup all over McDonald's into tricking myself into thinking it's good, so I'm ok with Culvers doing that.

I've never understood the entire eating healthy thing. Granted, if calories in < calories out, you're going to lose weight. And, granted, with limited calories, it becomes important in choosing the correct foods to get the essential and/or desired vitamins and minerals. All that said, you can eat fast food once a week and eat a healthier diet than 99.999999999% of the planet.

This isn't aimed at you freed or your daughter. Just a general statement that eating healthy has little to nothing to do with fast food. Unless of course you rely on fast food for half your meals, then, yeah. That's unhealthy. But I don't get the feeling that's what we're talking about here or when most people refuse McDonald's for a meal due to "diet"

Actually, maybe I'm just a big fan of spicy chicken at fast food restaurants.

For the Chik-Fil-A fans, I take it ones in the Midwest aren't nearly as crowded as the ones in the South? I kid you not, in Columbia SC every Chik-Fil-A you drive past will have roughly 50 or more cars there. Literally every parking space in the entire lot will be full and the drive-thru lane (or lanes) willl be completely backed up all the way around the building and out of the parking lot onto the road itself.

It is truly a marvel to behold. I'm not even talking lunch or dinner rush hour times. If you drive past at off-peak hours like 2:30pm, there will still be 50+ vehicles there. It is [expletive] nuts.

They're usually really fast. I've never spent more than about 15 seconds at a chick fil a drive through window. The line usually has a lot of cars but it's a reasonable wait. A 20 car line at Chick Fil A will take about as long as a 5 car line at Taco Bell. In my experience.

Mostly during lunch, in my experience.

I was in SC over Thanksgiving and was blown away by the fact that 3 out of 4 fast food chains are fried chicken places. Maybe that's hyperbole, but still... Bojangles, Zaxby's, and Chik-Fil-A are copious down there. And since I'd never been to Bojangles or Zaxby's, I gave them both a shot. Bojangles was ok, but I don't feel the need to go back. I thought it was pretty comparable to Church's or Lee's in that regard. Zaxby's, on the other hand... I loved the hell out of that.

Culver's and Wendy's are my kings of fast food, in that order. Culver's has cheese curds, for [expletive]'s sake! How is that not EVERYONE'S top of the list?

Then there's a big middling mass of stuff that I'm ok with- Hardee's, BK, Jack in the Crack, Taco Smell, DQ...

White Castle and McDonald's are my bottom of the barrel. I like the McDonald's breakfast stuff, but the McD's lunch/dinner items actually started making me ill. I pretty much have to be blackout drunk to eat White Castle.

zaxby's/raising cane's sauce is a little slice of heaven

there's a chik-fila on a busy corner here that is always crankin' out the chicken burgers. i remember when they built it people were camped out for the opening. and i mean, like 100s, tent city type thing.
