Apparently. So how old is he officially?
40 by AP's own account.
Interesting. I stand corrected.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to Vlad when he casually and nonchalantly admitted his own age to a reporter without realizing it.

Is Nolan Gorman still a 50 FV? Any movement now or guesses on where he'll be in the offseason write ups?

Kiley McDaniel

Only Madrigal and Mize are 55's from that draft class, so Gorman can't really get up there until the positional stuff is more decided, which will take time to see which direction he's trending. A couple scouts said when Gorman was getting beat up by scouts this spring that he's Austin Riley and he's sure starting his pro career the same way.
The comp to Riley is pretty spot on. Good job by Kiley having that comp ready to go on the fly.

Gorman put up a 182 wRC+ in Rookie ball over 167 plate appearances. Riley put up a 160 wRC+ over 252 plate appearances in two Rookie ball levels. Both had obscene BABIP, but that happens when a player is that much more talented than his competition at that level.

Gorman moved up to mid-A ball at 18 years, 2 months old and has put up a 131 wRC+ in a small sample. Riley was 19 years, 2 months when he reached mid-A ball and put up a 128 wRC+ against that level over the course of the full season.

Biggest differences are that Gorman walks quite a bit more than Riley and Riley has a better arm.

Like that Pujols guy? Granted, he was 21, but still.
no, i said 19-20. i know pujols was 21 when he came up....an age before you can legally drink and you're in the majors just sounds crazy awesome (19-20).

21 year old just doesn't seem as rare (isn't jordan hicks 21?)...could be wrong (probably am)

Are you also a guy who thinks he didn't take some kind of PED?
To my knowledge, Pujols was never involved in any sort of steroids scandal.
Yes, never caught. Also I don't care either.

But don't be in denial about him not doing any PED. That's literally why he's breaking down so hard now.

I knew some fans were delusional but...

To not believe he never took a single ounce of PEDs? Do any non-Cards fans believe that?
