Packer Report’s (I used to have a subscription to the print version) predictions for the Packers’ 53 man roster (final cuts to be made on Tuesday).

https://247sports.com/nfl/green-bay-pa ... 252930252/

Things I find of interest: the author agrees with me that Elgersma has performed better than Clifford, but he has the Packers only keeping 2 QBs and predicts that both Elgersma and Clifford will end up on the practice squad. I don’t see that happening, one of them is going to try to find a QB3 job elsewhere.

Also, the Packers get to keep both their Irishmen: K Mark McNamee is in the NFL on a special program for international players and doesn’t count against their 53-man roster.

Here is the Packers’ final 53 man roster:

I expect that some of the players who are labeled “released” will be signed to the practice squad. In the case of K Mark McNamee, it looks like I misinterpreted what I thought about his position as an international player.

Packers signings to the practice squad (which includes McNamee, but not Clifford or Elgersma, they signed another QB named Clayton Tune).

Micah Parsons traded by Cowboys to Packers

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46 ... d-contract

Cowboys get defensive tackle Kenny Clark and the Packers’ first round draft picks in 2026 and 2027. That’s a lot to give up. Parsons is 26 and a four time Pro Bowler. His contract makes him the highest paid non-quarterback in the league. I hope he is able to live up to all this.

The regular season begins tonight with Thursday Night Football. Cowboys vs. Eagles. On the opening kickoff, Eagles DT Jalen Carter is ejected for spitting on Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. Score now 7-7 with 5 minutes left in the first.
