Re: Random musings
I will submit that for me in the mid 50's, there is not really a day I feel terrible, even though I have plenty of reasons that I should. On the other hand, the days of feeling great are pretty much nonexistent.
It is kinda like when you are young, you feel good all the time so you are used to it and only notice when you don't feel good. Just the opposite as you age. A day of feeling really good is rare, but a gift that you are definitely aware of. But not feeling great is normal, so you just accept that, and really don't notice.

I am seeing the pope cancels a meeting due to fever. There's a prescription for that.

In my 40s I'd settle for waking up and not still feeling tired. I don't know when the last time that happened.Leroy wrote: ↑May 26 23, 10:23 amI will submit that for me in the mid 50's, there is not really a day I feel terrible, even though I have plenty of reasons that I should. They blatantly re-record the content that actual experts with less engagement put out, but with their dumb himbo regurgitating their words (badly).Joe Shlabotnik wrote: ↑April 3 23, 4:05 pmI only go to YouTube if I absolutely have to. Does this resonate at all? I see more of that guy than my kids. Are you guys getting served this guy’s ads six times in a ten minute video?
Out of curiosity I followed the link for a YouTube ad promising to correct my vision if I rubbed ice on my wrist before bed. It led to a site with a video of an elderly gentlemen in front of a US flag blowing old people dog whistles about grandbabies and not being a burden to their families and God and vaguely mentioning stem cells. He was going on and on and on about what the short video was going to reveal. It promised complete eye health. I lasted several minutes, but couldn't take it anymore. So I just clicked through and they were selling some pills. The site also had a bunch of scientific research links to entirely unrelated topics on NIH and stuff.
I know no one here is wasting their money on this. But I served as tribute to waste my time. I've just been curious about these ads (like the lose 15 pounds drinking a cup of water before bed one) for months.

There were 106 guests viewing the Baseball page a minute ago. And 1 user online. I was the user, yet I am the one who feels used by all these guests.

I’ve got a bit of a theme going here. Have you noticed how desperate the junk adsticles on the web have gotten? I’m getting pictures of things that vaguely look like genitals (mostly from Temu) and ragebaity racial headlines.

Jebus. My random musing is three weeks old. Someone rant about something already. Am I to suppose everything is wonderful for everyone?

Well. After taking the brunt of sh!tty summer wather out here the last 3/4 years, this year's weather has been beautiful. FRom the wet winter to the mild spring to the summer that didn't get hot til it was supposed to. And still no major out-of-control wild fire. Haven't had that happen for 8 or 10 years. So yeah, it's been some kind of wonderful.BottenFieldofDreams wrote: ↑July 24 23, 2:30 pmJebus. My random musing is three weeks old. Someone rant about something already.
