This is stupid AF
Twitter launched its new logo on July 24, 2023, replacing the blue bird with a white X on a black background as the Elon Musk–owned company moves toward rebranding as X.

I was on the beach in Danang one time, and a man came by with a cart selling these huge bags of peanuts in the shell for like 10,000 Dong or something. I was like hell yeah, that sounds really good right now. A big ole bag of salty peanuts on the beach.

Turns out they were boiled. Boiled peanuts suck. [expletive] boiled peanuts.

I had a dream last night that I was working at my sister's farm. When I got done I started walking home. As I walked, a goose came up to me and acted like it wanted me to pet it. I did. Then I was in a car giving him a ride to my home, when I learned he could talk. We had a nice long talk, and I named him Hucklebert. Then I introduced Hucklebert to my wife, and she was like what the hell.

It probably means I really like animals or there is a raging psychopath inside me.

If I could give the English speaking world one gift with my life it would be this: de-gendering the word “guys.”

Addressing a group of people is tricky. I don’t want to say ‘you people’ because it sounds possibly pejorative, I don’t want to say ‘ladies’ because there’s more to people than their gender, and ‘y’all’ Is for hicks. Ooh maybe I’ll start using ‘hicks.’

I grew up in the northeast where 'you guys' was genderless even in the 1960s/70s. When I moved to Huntsville, Al in 1983 I found out southern women did NOT like being hailed as 'you guys'! So I switched to 'y'all'. Voila.

Sorry, "y'all" is Texas' gift to the linguistic world. It's the non-gendered third person informal that English lacks. As an added bonus, if you're addressing a large group of people, you may employ "all y'all." In most common usage, when a group of people has pissed you off, you may state "Man, [expletive] all y'all."

I hate to say it, but "y'all" is really the one. It crosses gender and racial lines smoothly, it's "folksy" and "down to earth."

Speaking of folksy, "folks" works great too. It's not just for Obama anymore...anyone can use it.
