Approaching a mixed group makes me a little neurotic and approaching a group of women puts me deep inside my brain. ‘hey Sarah, and Jane, and lady whose name I can’t remember.’ Saying ‘ladies’ can sound creepy or condescending. ‘Sistahs’ is right out. Likewise ‘bitc#es’. And I feel like a poser or at least not myself saying ‘y’all’.

Chunk and Sloth weren’t only talking to the boy Goonies when they shouted ‘Hey you guys!’ It needs to be ‘guys.’ Folks might be worth a try. If its ‘y’all’ a campaign similar to mine for ‘guys’ might be necessary.

I just realized I haven't watched a Cardinals game, like not even an inning of a Cardinals game, in well over a month. Do I even still like baseball? The 2023 Cardinals: Making Folks Question Whether They Even Like Baseball Anymore.

Nor have I. For me, it's a combination of: poor baseball and the games are too fast. By the time I am done with the day's chores and able to sit in front of a TV, the game's already over. I used to be able to watch the last 2-3 innings. Not any more.

This is what life is like for most baseball fans. This is the value of above mediocre below great relevancy (not a personal endorsement). Helps pass the time, almost like some kind of pastime?

In terms of watching games I’m a very fair weather fan. If it’s not fun, life’s too short. I’ve actually been paying pretty closer attention otherwise though. Will tune in if and when Winn comes up though.

Whoever the three commentators on CNN this morning were, they are dumb.

They were talking about shark attacks, and what percentage of people have seen Jaws. Something like 77% have. I haven't. Anyway, one guy says 'but we all know the music' and the two others started humming the Twilight Zone theme. The first guy corrected them, and said 'No that's Batman'.

Good golly miss Molly, it is two damn notes.
