Whoever the three commentators on CNN this morning were, they are dumb.

They were talking about shark attacks, and what percentage of people have seen Jaws. Something like 77% have. I haven't. Anyway, one guy says 'but we all know the music' and the two others started humming the Twilight Zone theme. The first guy corrected them, and said 'No that's Batman'.

Good golly miss Molly, it is two damn notes.
Which is double the notes from Psycho so, you know... complexity.

Were any of those 3 commentators alive when Jaws was in theaters?

If a bunch of random molecules in the primordial oceans could combine into single-celled organisms and then, over time, into intelligent life forms, why can't a similar process play out in space? Who's to say some nebula we can see from a telescope isn't a giant neural network talking to other giant gaseous brains floating in the vacuum of space?

All around us. We humans are turning out to be not so intelligent after all. The rest of the animal life on our planet can exist without destroying the world around them in the process. They're clearly more intelligent than we are.

I think I mentioned this somewhere here but a while ago I purchased some property that joins mine that curls around the lake at our house. I did a prairie grass restoration on it and since then we've had a resurgence of deer, fox, birds, and butterflies. Everyone around our lake loves it and tells me they are so glad I did it. Except Joan and Charlie. Who are the bane of my and everyone else in our little clump of houses, existence. So maybe a couple months back we got a letter from a lawyer politely telling us that it should be removed and well kept grass should be put there because this is somehow a hazard to the community. I of course just sent it to our lawyer, who basically responded [expletive] you. Today everything was dropped and Joan and Charlie are putting their house up for sale. lol
