Any word on Ehlers after taking what appeared to be a Parayko slapper right off the shin? He left the game after barely being able to get off the ice on his own late in the 3rd. I can't imagine that felt good.

Haven't heard but I hope his shin is broken and he is out the rest of the series but then is fine after the series is over. I don't want to wish anything too bad on him, just enough to benefit the Blues.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:Any word on Ehlers after taking what appeared to be a Parayko slapper right off the shin? How do people share image on here anymore? I need a good website.
Anyway, I froze the frame where Parayko's shot hits ehlers and while the frame doesn't really show anything, ehlers turned his left leg inward and bent his knee in order to close the 5 hole but at the same time exposed the side of his entire leg. It looks like the shot hit him either just below the padding on the side of the leg where it's all bone or on the side of the skate.
I'd be mightily surprised if he plays in game 6. I don't think he could put any weight on it and when he tried at the end of the shift he fell down. If it was a muscle that took the brunt, well, there is none in that part of the body. But if it was just a muscle bruise he'd at least have been able to put weight on it.
I hope he's alright. But gosh damn that didn't look good.
What's the injury reporting protocol in nhl? If he's out they won't want to advertise it. Are they allowed to just not say anything?

Howzabout that anti-own goal that kept the Jets from going up 3-0?

A player could lose a limb on the ice during a nationally televised game and the team would simply say that the player is day to day with an upper/lower body injury (depending on the limb) in the post game presser.

I only watched the end of the game because I thought "Well, I guess there is only one more game this season."
Boy howdy, am I glad I kept watching!
