Jose Garcia and Eric Duncan get the bulk of the PT. Duncan is a 26 year old has been and Garcia is a non prospect and pretty bad defender.

I remember Duncan now that I think about it. Wong should bump both of them to get him some AA ab's down the stretch. Duncan can find another position or they can promote him to Memphis for awhile. Who cares about Garcia.

You want him to skip high-A and go straight to AA? I doubt we do that. We started him at a full-season club as it is.

I'm all for it personally. I don't think 1 month of AB's at AA is going to stunt his development if he's overmatched. If he holds his own and looks legit that could conceivably shave a half to full season off his ETA by not having him piddle around in A+ for however long next year. No downside to it IMO.

If getting Wong ready to start next year at AAA with a September callup then I say have him skip A+.

There's no way he starts next year at AAA, even if he spends the last month of the season at AA and plays in the AFL.

Why are we pushing him again?

Because he was a low ceiling/mlb close pick and we have no other options at 2B sans theriot and skip.

I mean, I'm ready to bring him up right now. He can't be worse can he?

They did that to Wallace, I think.
