That's alot of money to pass up.whyhellothere wrote:does anybody think that if Edmonds doesn't improve, and he ends up batting like .230 with less than 10 homeruns that he might just retire at the end of the year?

What is kennedy's. Where did you get that info? I can get LD/GB/FB rate from BP but I didn't see BABIP.Fat Strat wrote:Edmonds BABIP = .273Michael wrote:jim wrote:No data to back this up, but it's my impression that 7 has had the toughest luck this year so far.
I agree, it seems like he gets good wood but he still makes outs.
By far the worst of his career. He's definitely had some bad luck. But, his GB/FB ratio (yes, they have those for hitters too) is 1.50, which is .7 above his career #'s.
He's not hitting flyballs, and if you don't hit flyballs, you don't hit doubles or homers.
Kennedy is 19.7% LD rate, should have about a .320 BABIP based on that.

Same here re: Gameday.Radbird wrote:I'm only "watching" on gameday, but so far so good. Even if we are relying on Cy Looper to provide the offensive production as well.
Inning over! Woo!

True, but he already has a lot of money, he seems like the kind of guy that if things just kept going bad he might just walk away at the end of the year.jim wrote:That's alot of money to pass up.whyhellothere wrote:does anybody think that if Edmonds doesn't improve, and he ends up batting like .230 with less than 10 homeruns that he might just retire at the end of the year?

.242, career .317What is kennedy's. Where did you get that info? I can get LD/GB/FB rate from BP but I didn't see BABIP.
Kennedy is 19.7% LD rate, should have about a .320 BABIP based on that.
BTW, Eck is at .229, LD% 16.7of career .301/21.5%
Pujols is .230, LD% 17.5, career .317/19.8%
Rolen is .274, LD% 15.8, career .314/20.3%
Our offense is going to absolutley explode one of these days. These BABIP's are unheard of for these players.
